Join Team NTUK as they ride in memory of Albert Antona at the ever popular and scenic 55 mile London to Brighton Cycle Ride.
This follows on from an inaugural memorial bike ride in 2024, where his son, Mario, nephew, Harvey, and brother in law, Jeremy, embarked on a ride from Toulouse to Barcelona.
Albert was diagnosed with NF2, a condition which significantly impacted his life in many ways - one of which was the fact that he was left with a severe hearing impairment. We know that for Albert, the hearing loss was the most devastating symptom.
This year, to honour his legacy, Team NTUK are participating in the iconic London to Brighton Cycle Ride, hoping to raising awareness for NF and help those affected across the UK, as much as possible.
Whether you're an enthusiastic first-time cyclist or seasoned rider, the route can be enjoyed by all; it starts at Clapham Common in South London, taking you through scenic country lanes, then builds up to the challenging mile-long climb that is Ditchling Beacon. Admire the spectacular views from the top of the South Downs, because from there, it's just a few miles downhill to the finish line on Brighton seafront.
Participating cyclists will receive a Nerve Tumours UK cycling vest, fundraising materials, and support.
Nerve Tumours UK has arranged a coach and bicycle trailer to pick up riders from the finish line, with drop-off points at Clapham Common (South London) and South Mimms Services (Junction 23 M25/ Junction 1 A1M).
