How Your Donations Help

The impact of your donations

Your donations make a huge difference to the work we do and the support we can provide for all those affected by NF, the medical group name for Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), NF2-related-Schwannomatosis (NF2) and Schwannomatosis (SWN). 

Fundraising is one of our greatest sources of donations, which is why your fundraising efforts are so crucial to helping us develop and improve our services to helping everyone associated with our charity. 

Below are some examples of how your donation can make a difference:

  • £12 could fund a copy of our iNForm Your School Pack
  • £35 could fund Nerve Tumours UK digital platforms, e-newsletters and essential updates for the NF Community for one month
  • £70 could fund both an initial call and follow-up one from our National NF Helpline
  • £215 / £270 could fund a school advisory meeting with parents & associated medical practitioners or a home visit, crucial for newly diagnosed de novo cases
  • £1,350 could fund a part-time Specialist NF Nurse for approximately one month

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
