This time last year our beautiful boy was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis. Anyone who knows him knows he is a happy and adventurous little boy who lights up every room. He has overcome so much since his diagnosis including learning to walk again on a perminant broken leg. But how it will affect him through the years to come is still yet unknown.
It is a life long disease and effects 26.5k people in the UK alone, and yet not alot is known about the disease. So I have chosen to run the Shine A Light Marathon over the Month of May – World Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month 2023! Instead of 26.2 miles, I will run 26.5 miles for the 26,500 affected by Neurofibromatosis in the UK – go the extra 0.3 miles for our NF community who have been so helpful and supportive since fynley’s diagnosis.
