At Tilbury Douglas, we believe that coming together as a team can make a real difference — not just in the work we do, but in the lives of others. That’s why we decided to hold a special Curry Day to raise funds and awareness for Nerve Tumours UK, a charity that’s close to our heart.
As one of our colleagues living with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) — a genetic condition that causes tumours to grow on the nerves — and with family members also affected, this cause is deeply personal to us. Nerve Tumours UK provides vital support, information, and care to people, helping families across the UK live better and feel less alone.
So, on Curry Day, the office was filled with the rich aromas of homemade curries, laughter, and community spirit. Colleagues cooked, shared, and donated — all with one goal in mind: to make a positive difference. It wasn’t just about good food; it was about coming together to support a charity that brings comfort, hope, and understanding to thousands of people facing the daily challenges of NF.
By the end of the day, we had not only raised funds but also started conversations about a condition that too few people know about. It was heartwarming to see everyone’s generosity and enthusiasm, proving that small actions — like sharing a meal — can have a big impact.
Our Curry Day was more than just a fundraiser; it was a reminder of what kindness, teamwork, and good food can achieve when people unite for a cause that truly matters.

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
