Run

I love running and over the last few years it’s become a big part of my life. My first marathon is a therefore a big challenge for me. I feel it’s a good opportunity to raise awareness of Neurofibromatosis, which is a condition which causes tumours anywhere in the body. Not many people know that I’m affected by this condition and my son is too. It’s something I’ve kept to myself but it’s come to a time where I need to help others . Hopefully by shine my own little light it will help someone and will help raise funds to help end NF. I’m hoping to share my story along the way for anyone who wants to listen and just to explain the key symptoms too, just in case someone who is undiagnosed happy to see this.

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
