Raising money before the charity name changed
Garry is fundraising in memory of Natalie Smith
02 October 2022
Run
My sister Natalie had NF and died in March 2007 after complications arising from tumours that had grown on her spinal cord aged just 17. There is not a day that goes by still when I don’t think of her. She was the bravest person that I’ve ever met.
It is the 15th anniversary of her gaining her angel wings in 2022 so I want to mark this anniversary by both trying to raise as much money as I can & awareness as I can for Nerve Tumours UK.
Although I’m an experienced runner, I have never ran a road marathon before & have recently developed arthritis in both of my knees.
This will truly be a challenge for me, not just the Marathon itself, but all the 100’s of hours of training I’ll need to put in to get me to the start line.
I’m determined to put in all of the hard work, dedication & sacrifices to achieve this.
