iNForm Your University
Heading off to university is a big milestone, and if you’re living with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), NF2-related Schwannomatosis (NF2) or Schwannomatosis (SWN), you might have a few extra things to think about. But here’s the good news: university is absolutely achievable — and it can be an incredible experience.
Whether you're applying for the first time, returning to education, or already at uni and looking for support, our iNForm Your University guide is here to help you every step of the way.
Foreword from Georgia
"Embrace your individuality—and help end the stigma around disability.Whether a condition is visible, well-known, or not, it deserves understanding. After years of struggling to find answers, I realised many others in the NF1 community felt the same. That shared experience led me to write my university dissertation on NF1—its wide-ranging effects, how differently it presents in each person, and why it needs greater recognition in education. I explored the biology of NF1, associated co-morbidities, the impact of limited awareness, and the educational barriers faced by those living with it. Now, I’m committed to raising awareness—especially in universities—and using my work to start important conversations. No matter the challenges you face, embrace your uniqueness. It’s your superpower. There is strength in being different."
