This year marks what would have been my mum Phillipa’s 60th birthday, and also 10 years since we lost her.

Mum lived with Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2), but it never defined her. She was fierce, funny, and full of life, with a strong spirit and a great sense of humour. She loved deeply, laughed often, and made the most of every moment she could. Even through the challenges she faced, she remained resilient, warm, and unapologetically herself.

This fundraiser is a way to honour my mum and celebrate the incredible person she was, while supporting NF2 research, awareness, and care. Every donation helps create hope for those living with NF2 today and in the future.

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
