Sacred Heart Chorus and Orchestra Summer Concert
30 April 2026
We are delighted that Sacred Heart Music have very kindly chosen to support Nerve Tumours UK and War Child at this year's summer concert.
The concert is on Saturday 20 June. Performed by a full chorus and orchestra, it promises an unforgettable musical experience in the resonant setting of the Sacred Heart Church in Wimbledon.
Join us for a deeply moving evening of choral and orchestral music as The Sacred Heart Chorus and Orchestra, conducted by Director of Music, Robert Rathbone, presents one of the most powerful and enduring works in the choral repertoire: Mozart’s Requiem (K626).
As well as the Requiem, the orchestra will perform Mozart’s Overture to The Magic Flute, resonant with masonic overtones and humour, and Haydn’s effervescent Trumpet Concerto will be performed by Christian Barraclough, twenty years almost to the day after his stunning debut performing the Hummel Concerto alongside our first performance of the Requiem.
Soloists: Katy Tansey Soprano / Cathy Bell Alto / John Upperton Tenor / Aleksi Kaponen Bass
