New Research Study for Children and Young People with Neurofibromatosis type 1
NNIBS Study
NF1 Non Invasive Brain Stimulation
Many young people with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) experience daily problems with learning, paying attention in the classroom and concentrating. However, at the moment there aren't many treatments for these difficulties
The University of Manchester, are starting a new study to try understand how a particular treatment called ‘transcranial direct current stimulation’ (tCDS) works to help children learn better. The study will involve two research visits and brain scans
This study is for young people who are between 11-17 years old with a diagnosis of NF1. If you would like to find out more about this study, then please fill in the typeform on the link below and your details will be passed onto Dr Shruti Garg or please contact Dr Garg directly by calling 016130 60085 or email nfresearch@manchester.ac.uk. A parent's information sheet providing greater detail about the study can be found below.
DISCLAIMER: It should be noted that this research is being carried out entirely separately to Nerve Tumours UK and therefore we cannot be held responsible for any outcomes associated with this study.
