Online – Accessibility – We have the tools to help!
07 September 2023
To enable all members of the NF community, we have installed tools on the website to give you better access to content.
After all, as we offer support and advice, we must therefore also make sure that you have easy access to the website, our online newsletter and magazine.
To help you understand more, we’ve created the following article on how we can support you.
You will find this toolbar at the top of our menu.
The toolbar allows website browsers to personalise how they access information and helps those people who struggle in a digital-first world.
Many functions can be accessed via the menu, allowing readability and accessibility of the content.
You can customise this in a way that suits you best - including text-to-speech, reading and translation support.
Online content outside our website
Reading should never be a barrier to learning.
If you want to read or learn, and have dyslexia; ADD; low vision or any other condition, it should not stop you from being able to absorb information easily and effectively.
This tool can support you in your profession, at your college, at your school or simply for private browsing.
Whether you're reading a book, reviewing or writing an email, or simply browsing the web, the Helperbird app can make web pages, PDFs (including PDFs on our website that are not covered by Texthelp for Accessibility), and documents, more accessible to meet your needs.
We are fully aware that there will still be issues based on individual needs but the following tool might ease your access to information, and support you in your daily tasks.
Print send outs including our bi yearly magazine (for those that are members of Nerve Tumours UK)
If you are struggling to clearly access our print materials, please contact us at info@nervetumours.org.uk and we can send you a digital copy that might be easier for you to access through the above browser settings. Please state clearly what material or information you want to receive.
