#MyVisibleDifference Changing Faces
23 May 2019
Face Equality Day is such an important day to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with visible differences, to share stories, to make connections and speak together about the change we want to see. Nerve Tumours UK fully supports the cause and was delighted to meet Adam Pearson a champion on that matter for NF1. Minister for Equalities Baroness Williams of Trafford attended the panel discussion and called for tougher regulation of websites so vulnerable people are not targeted by internet trolls.
We were delighted to see coverage of the positive and constructive debate in The Telegraph today. Changing Faces, which supports people who have a mark, scar or condition which alters their appearance, hosted a panel discussion on the findings chaired by The Telegraph’s Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Asif Sadiq attended besides Baroness Williams, by Natalie Ambersley (changing faces campaigner) and Vicky Night (Actress)
