Join the NF1 Cutaneous Neurofibroma Consortium Project
06 September 2024
We invite adults with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) to participate in a groundbreaking research study aimed at improving treatment options for neurofibromas.
Why Participate?
If you have NF1 and wish for better treatments for neurofibromas, this project offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful progress. Currently, there is no way to predict how many neurofibromas a person with NF1 will develop, and no drug treatments are available. This uncertainty can be a source of distress for many. This research seeks to identify the genes that influence neurofibroma development, with the ultimate goal of discovering treatments that could prevent or reduce their growth.
Who Can Take Part?
We are looking for adults (18 years and older) with a clinical or genetic diagnosis of NF1. Whether you have no neurofibromas or many, your participation is valuable. This is an international study, and we aim to recruit 2,000 participants from around the world.
How to Get Involved
Participation is simple and entirely online. To learn more and register, visit the secure study website, here.
