Prenatal Foetal Brain Development in Neurofibromatosis
Type 1 Study (EDEN-P)
Dear healthcare professional,
We would like to invite you to take part in our research study.
When either parent of a baby has a diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), there is a 50% chance the baby will also develop NF1. Pregnancy can be a difficult time for parents with NF1 due to the uncertainties surrounding their baby's health and development. However, little is known about the experiences and challenges faced by healthcare professionals who provide support to expectant parents with NF1 during pregnancy. We hope that this study will help us to better understand this service-providing process and to develop new support systems and interventions to improve the experiences of expectant parents with NF1 and health professionals/charity workers.
Please dowload the information leaflet which tells you more about this new study. If you are interested in participating in this research please read the information sheet provided and contact eden@manchester.ac.uk to find out more about the study. No details will be passed to the research team without your permission. Expressing your interest at this time will not commit you to taking part in the study if you later change your mind.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Shruti Garg
