What are the support needs, and preferences for the delivery of support, of people impacted by nerve tumours?

What are the support needs, and preferences for the delivery of support, of adults impacted with a visible difference?

What are the support needs, and preferences for the delivery of support, of parents and carers of those with a visible difference?

Are you a parent or carer of a child with Neurofibromatosis?

Maia Thornton, a PhD student from the Centre for Appearance Research, is looking for parents and carers of children aged 0-18 years to provide feedback on some parent materials.

These parent support materials have been designed with parents of children with appearance affecting conditions and injuries, and professionals who have experience supporting these families.

Parents and carers will be asked to review support materials and answer a short survey to tell us about their experience, and anything they feel could be improved.

Anyone who completes the survey will be offered the chance to enter into a raffle to win a £50 Amazon voucher.

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
