What are the support needs, and preferences for the delivery of support, of people impacted by nerve tumours?

What are the support needs, and preferences for the delivery of support, of adults impacted with a visible difference?

What are the support needs, and preferences for the delivery of support, of parents and carers of those with a visible difference?

Nerve Tumours UK, as part of the Appearance Collective, is supporting the online survey on what support is needed for those affected by NF1.

Further to the workshop on Online vs Face-to-Face Support that the VTCT Foundation team at the Centre of Appearance Research (CAR) delivered in June, CAR has launched a short online survey to gather information on the support needs and preferences of people affected by an appearance-altering condition or injury (visible difference) of any sort.  

What kind of support could help people who have been impacted by NF1? 

Appearance Collective, CAR Centre of Appearance Research (UWE) are keen to hear your views, with the aim to work with organisations like us to provide help and support that can make a real difference.

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
