Meet Our 2024 Runners!
– Michael Carlson, 2024"Thank you to Nerve Tumours UK for allowing me to run the GNR 2024 while supporting the charity. This was my first GNR and first half marathon event and I am pleased to say that I managed to surpass my sponsorship total and also hit my target time of sub 2 hours, coming in with a 1 hour 54 minute duration. Today, the day after the race I feel a little stiff, but I would do it all again in a heartbeat! I will be signing up for next year's GNR and I would love to run for Nerve Tumours UK once again."
– Joanna Elson, 2024"It was wet but the atmosphere was still buzzing! I led the chant of ‘Oggy oggy oggy’ in several of the underpasses, to which I got the traditional response of ‘Oi Oi Oi’! A fabulous race tradition. I would 100% recommend the Great North Run."
