Nerve Tumours UK at your fingertips - Download the app!

It’s easy to turn the Nerve Tumours UK website into an app, so you can access it wherever you are. Meeting your GP or medical advisor, understanding NF and educating or pointing others in the right direction, accessing details of the helpline etc - all of this is available to you on your phone or tablet, when you download the app. The app can also send notifications of new content and useful information.

  • If you have an Apple phone or iPad follow the iOS instructions – there’s a simple video that shows what you are looking for.
  • For Google, Samsung and other Android phones it's even simpler. Follow the Android instructions.
  • You can even install the app on Desktop computers. Follow the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge instructions. 

iOS

Tap the 'Share' button (at the browser options). From the options, tap the 'Add to Homescreen' option, you will notice an icon of the website or screenshot of the website added to your device's homescreen instantly. Tap the icon from the homescreen, the Nerve Tumours UK app will be loaded onto your phone for you to access instantly.

Android

To install the app, simply tap the 'Install' button at the bottom of the page when the option appears, normally when visting a second page on the site. Alternatively, there is an 'Install app' option in the menu () in Chrome on Android devices. Then tap 'Add' and your app should be available on your homescreen.

Google Chrome

In Chrome, on desktop computers, the app can be installed by clicking the install button () in the address bar. On Windows, the app icon will be added to the desktop. On macOS devices the app will be saved into '/Users//Applications/Chrome Apps' and from here the app icon can be dragged to the dock for future quick access.

Microsoft Edge

In Edge, on desktop computers, the app can be installed by clicking the install button () in the address bar. The app icon will be added to the desktop or in the Start menu.

INFER (International NF Educational Resources) is a series of online educational lectures for medical professionals by leading neurofibromatosis experts. The Masterclasses take place online approximately once a month, each on a different topic, and include real-time interaction between the expert presenter and the participants. The presentations are conducted in English, with real-time audio interpretation available in 6 additional languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. A recording of each INFER masterclass is then be made available online in each language for those who could not attend an event.
